Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Amberfield Summit Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Miami producing generic and specialty treatments, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to quality documentation, and clear open items. • Track costs around regulatory filings against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with quality documentation. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Miami. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
