Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Silverline Cedar Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Fort Worth. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 798 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around certifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field inspections, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with field inspections. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Fort Worth. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
