Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Nova Bridge Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Memphis area. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Technicians and office staff share information daily. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tickets, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Memphis. • We reply to every applicant.
