Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Redstone Nest Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Providence region, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 459 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to materials orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
