Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Clearpath Oak Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Orlando. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around work orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Orlando. • We reply to every applicant.
