Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Nova Amber Press produces print and digital publications in Fresno, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We like people who notice details. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to print quotes, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with print quotes. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
