Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Highbridge Umber Inspection Services Group is an inspection company in Louisville with field technicians and lab staff, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Training and certification are paid for. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to equipment calibration, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with equipment calibration. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
