Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Raleigh, NC)

Foxglove Summit Auto Group is a Raleigh company supplying vehicle parts and service, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 200 people based in Raleigh. What you will do • Track costs around service appointments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with vehicle inspections. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
