Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Raleigh, NC)

Foxglove Bright Pharma develops and makes medicines in Raleigh. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We work to strict standards and value careful documentation. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory filings, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory filings. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
