Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Raleigh, NC)

Greenridge River Markets Group serves neighbourhoods around Raleigh with fresh food and everyday goods. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Track costs around pricing against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with promotions.
