Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Pittsburgh, PA)

Rivermark Ridge Manufacturing makes precision components in Pittsburgh, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 53 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lines, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
