Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Phoenix, AZ)

We are growing our team at Northwind Ashton Hospitality Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. We work weekends and holidays and we make it fun. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to guest bookings, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with guest bookings. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Phoenix. • We reply to every applicant.
