Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Phoenix, AZ)

Highbridge Juniper Legal Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for document review, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. People here care about clients, not just cases. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around trust accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with document review. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Phoenix. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
