Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Omaha, NE)

We are growing our team at Northwind Umber Care Services and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around caregiver training against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with licensing. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Omaha. • We reply to every applicant.
