Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Omaha, NE)

Foxglove Rook Staffing places workers with employers around Omaha, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in Omaha. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around temp assignments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with timekeeping. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Omaha. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
