Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Nashville, TN)

Westbrook Keystone Energy is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for billing disputes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around hardship programmes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with billing disputes.
