Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Nashville, TN)

Silverline Wilder Pharma develops and makes medicines in Nashville, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around quality documentation against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to batch records, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with batch records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Nashville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
