Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Nashville, TN)

We are growing our team at Foxglove River Pharma and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. We work to strict standards and value careful documentation. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with clinical studies. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Nashville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
