Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Nashville, TN)

Westbrook Cedar Health Group runs clinics and patient services around Nashville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient education, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Nashville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
