Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Milwaukee, WI)

Amberfield Pine Medical is a Milwaukee company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory submissions, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with regulatory submissions. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Milwaukee. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
