Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Miami, FL)

Rivermark Quill Hospitality Associates operates hotels and event venues around Miami. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 771 people based in Miami. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around guest bookings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with supplier orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Miami. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
