Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Miami, FL)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Vale Pharma Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. People move between science and operations roles. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to batch records, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with batch records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
