Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Miami, FL)

Ironwood Ridge Property Management manages apartment communities around Miami. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Residents are neighbours, not numbers. What you will do • Track costs around resident events against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vendor invoices, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with vendor invoices. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
