Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Miami, FL)

Amberfield Ember Manufacturing is a Miami manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to machine downtime, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Miami. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
