Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Miami, FL)

We are growing our team at Silverline Lantern Markets and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to promotions, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with promotions. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
