Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Miami, FL)

Highbridge Cross Energy Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 89 people based in Miami. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around meter readings against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
