Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Miami, FL)

Redstone Willow Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Miami area, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Families are partners. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around school calendars against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to learning materials, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with learning materials. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
