Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Memphis, TN)

Greenridge Corner Staffing places workers with employers around Memphis. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Track costs around client orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to timekeeping, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with timekeeping. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Memphis. • We reply to every applicant.
