Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Louisville, KY)

Highbridge Linden Care Services provides in-home and community support in Louisville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 973 people based in Louisville. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with care plans. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Louisville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
