Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Louisville, KY)

We are growing our team at Lumen Mill Telecom and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. We invest in training. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service installations, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
