Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Little Rock, AR)

Lumen Oak Hospitality is a hospitality company in Little Rock with restaurants, rooms and catering, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
