Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Little Rock, AR)

Rivermark Summit Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Little Rock, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around shrink and waste against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
