Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Little Rock, AR)

Clearpath Ashton Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Little Rock, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around certifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Little Rock, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
