Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Little Rock, AR)

Clearpath Granite Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Little Rock. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around vendor spend against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with account servicing. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
