Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Little Rock, AR)

Nova Summit Press is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for print quotes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around proofing against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
