Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Little Rock, AR)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Mill Foods Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 525 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production batches, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around sanitation schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
