Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Little Rock, AR)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Bridge Farms and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 113 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to harvest schedules, and clear open items. • Track costs around seasonal crews against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with harvest schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
