Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Little Rock, AR)

Clearpath Mill Environmental Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for recycling loads, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Little Rock, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
