Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Las Vegas, NV)

Silverline Vale Community Partners is a Las Vegas charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around client intake against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to benefits enrolment, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with benefits enrolment. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
