Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Las Vegas, NV)

Harborlight Yarrow Foods Partners produces packaged foods at its Las Vegas plant. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer specifications, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
