Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Las Vegas, NV)

Bluepeak Oak Farms is an agricultural business based around Las Vegas, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to seasonal crews, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with seasonal crews. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Las Vegas. • We reply to every applicant.
