Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Las Vegas, NV)

Greenridge Thistle Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for regulatory filings, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around batch records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to regulatory filings, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with regulatory filings. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
