Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Las Vegas, NV)

Bright Fox Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Las Vegas region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around project schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
