Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Las Vegas, NV)

Ironwood Junction Community Partners is a Las Vegas charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to donor records, and clear open items. • Track costs around client intake against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with donor records. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Las Vegas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
