Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Knoxville, TN)

Summit Clear Care Services Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for visit scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 462 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with visit scheduling. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
