Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Knoxville, TN)

Stonegate Cross Health is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for clinic supplies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 415 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinic supplies, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around insurance authorisations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with clinic supplies. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
