Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Jacksonville, FL)

We are growing our team at Silverline Technologies and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to event logistics, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around school partnerships against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with event logistics. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
