Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Jacksonville, FL)

Cedar Bright Housing manages affordable housing communities across Jacksonville, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 734 people based in Jacksonville. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to lease compliance, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around repair requests against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with lease compliance. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
