Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Jacksonville, FL)

Clearpath Forge Banking Services is a regional lender in Jacksonville with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need an Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 733 people based in Jacksonville. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with deposit accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
