Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Indianapolis, IN)

Amberfield Ridge Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for service appointments, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Service hours are steady. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to service appointments, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around warranty claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
